Smith-&-Wesson-Model-66

The Model 66.

The Smith & Wesson Model 66 is a stainless steel version of the Smith & Wesson Model 19. It is chambered for the .357 Magnum cartridge.

The Smith & Wesson Model 66 and the Smith & Wesson Model 10 are the only two revolvers used in the entire Rambo film series, another is seen in a gun store display case. All three are seen only in First Blood and in use by police officers. Technically, a Remington 1858 New Army percussion revolver and a Starr 1858 Army revolver are seen in the Hope, Washington gun store counter, but neither are used.

First Blood[]

Sheriff Will Teasle uses this as his main sidearm. He puts his hand on the weapon, holstered to his hip when arresting Rambo and later on draws it as he goes to the roof to make sure that it is safe.

Smith & Wesson Model 10[]

Another revolver is seen in the film, presumably a Smith & Wesson Model 10, the original .38 Special police revolver. Oddly enough, the Smith & Wesson Model 66 is the stainless version of the Model 19, which is essentially the .357 Magnum version of the Model 15, which in turn is an updated Model 10. The Model 10 is a more common weapon carried by the police in Hope, Washington. A revolver with a thin barrel is seen being pointed out Teasle's window, revealing it to be an older Model 10.
